Interactive History

The Workers in partnership with TheGreen+Eyl developed 5 iPad apps for use within Berlin’s Natural History Museum, for the exhibition: Feathered Flight – 150 Years of Archaeopteryx.

Five Unique Apps

The apps included:

  • a spinning 3D visualisation of fossils
  • a slow motion video capture of a bird in flight which follows the visitors finger across the screen
  • a totem of research — a physical stack of paper and moveable iPad which traverses through the current research on feathered flight, highlighting interesting facts
  • German and English UI and captions

Rapid Turnaround

The apps were developed in less than two weeks and featured a bespoke video player for frame by frame animation on the first generation iPad.
